Welcome to Montessori School of Duluth

Montessori School of Duluth is the premiere Montessori option in Duluth. We offer programs that serve Toddlers, Preschoolers and Elementary age children from 16 months to 6th grade. We inspire a love for learning that lets our graduates go on to excel in the finest independent and public schools in Duluth and beyond.

We are committed to high quality Montessori education. Our Toddler program offers high quality care with flexible scheduling for working parents. Our Children’s House, a preschool program, is led by two AMI certified Lead Guides. Our Elementary program is committed to providing exceptional individualized curriculum to meet the needs of each student. The Elementary environment is designed to spark curiosity and a love for learning through Cosmic Education and student-directed learning. To support reading skills, MSD uses the curriculum Logic of English which is a multi-sensory, structured approach to reading instruction that is effective for teaching emergent readers and students with dyslexia.

Montessori is a natural fit for divergent learners or students with learning differences because of the extended work periods, emphasis on cursive writing, hands-on learning materials, and individualized curriculum.

We are currently open, serving the community with added precautions. We follow the guidelines of the MDH and limit our group sizes.

Applications are being accepted for Fall 2021 for limited openings in all classrooms: Toddler Environment (16-33 mo), Children’s House (33 mo-6 yrs), and Elementary (Grades 1-6). Use our contact form below or call to schedule a tour!
